When most people hear the word hypnotist, the first thing that comes to mind is often an image of a sinister stage-villain who brings about a hypnotic state by swinging a pocket watch back and forth, making people behave in strange and alien ways to the enjoyment of the audience and humiliation of the individual.

In reality, a hypnotist does not have unchallenged control over an individual. Whilst being under the effects of hypnosis is often described as a somnambulistic, sleep-like trance, it is much better understood as a state of focused attention, heightened suggestibility and vivid imagination, where the subconscious mind can be spoken to, without the conscious mind getting in the way.

It is important to know that hypnosis has been clinically proven to provide medical and therapeutic benefits, most notably in the reduction of pain and anxiety, phobias and self-doubt.

Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxation where the subconscious mind (the part of your brain responsible for your habits) can be worked with to make positive changes.

We help you work with your subconscious mind in order to help you make the positive changes that you desire and will work with you to help you accomplish your goals.
